The wind in our sails
Since the expansion of our production in 2021, Le Ketch has the wind in its sails more than ever. Thanks to the distribution of our beers, our microbrewery is now recognized nationally and even outside the country, for its juicy and complex IPAs made from local honey.
The crew
JEAN-FRANÇOIS FORTIN
Jean-François grew up in Sainte-Flavie and has been socially involved there since adolescence. President, coordinator and co-founder of the Carrefour International bas-Laurentien for social engagement, former federal deputy, mayor of Sainte-Flavie and professor of political science at the Cégep de Rimouski, for Jean-François, Ketch is synonymous with fraternity, commitment and passion.
GUILLAUME SAVARD
A trained radio host, Guillaume is a native of Chicoutimi. After a few years of home brewing, he decided to go into beer production full time and turn his passion into a profession. For him, Ketch is the best way to let all his creativity flow freely.
CHLOÉ GIGUÈRE-GASCON
Chloé grew up in the Eastern Townships before adopting Bas-Saint-Laurent in 2002 to study social development at the University of Quebec in Rimouski. Proud wife and mother of Flaviens, she owned a Gîte for over 3 years and manages the Ketch kitchen team and contributes to the daily administration of the business. For Chloé, Ketch is a place to bring together laughter and passion.
JOËLLE CHOQUETTE
Originally from Chandler, Joëlle has been working in the marketing and advertising industry for several years. Combining her creativity and her strategic mind, she is committed to developing the brand as well as the customer experience of Ketch in the image of Gaspésie: colorful and unforgettable.
IOURI PHILIPPE PAILLÉ
Iouri Philippe Paillé is passionate about images, travel and food! Working as a director in Quebec and internationally, Iouri travels the world to shoot spectacular images and find inspiration for his various personal projects. For Iouri le Ketch it is the opportunity to create a place that captures the imagination, in the colors of the magnificent region.
GENEVIÈVE FORTIN
Geneviève Fortin is originally from Sainte-Flavie and grew up along the Saint-Laurent River. In addition to being the mother of three children with her husband Junior, she co-owns a home clinic offering massage therapy and osteopathy services. Geneviève cares about the health and well-being of people in the region. For her, Ketch is a way of offering a place of sharing to her community.
JUNIOR LOUIS
Of Haitian origin, Junior is a veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces. In Sainte-Flavie you might come across him at the massage therapy clinic which he co-owns with his wife Geneviève or at an Espoirs de la Mitis match, a soccer league that he founded. For Junior, the Ketch is a place of gathering and good times.
GABRIEL MEUNIER
Born in Montreal, Gabriel spent all the summers of his childhood in Sainte-Flavie. Lawyer in private practice and teacher, lover of beers and travel and, above all, proud Gaspésie by adoption, Gabriel was quick to embark on the Ketch project. For him, the Ketch is an opportunity to realize his entrepreneurial spirit, to promote a corner of the country that is dear to him.
DANIEL FORTIN
Holder of a master's degree in religious sciences, Daniel has been active for several years within international organizations. An avid traveler, but attached to Sainte-Flavie and the memories of summers spent building rafts on the shore, for Daniel, the Ketch is a project bringing together family, the sea and the spirit of celebration.
ÉLISABETH MEUNIER
Élisabeth lives in Montreal, but is particularly attached to Sainte-Flavie. Museologist passionate about history and the arts, she has worked in the cultural field for many years. For her, the Ketch is both a unifying place to taste excellent beer and an exceptional place to consume culture.
ROSA SALVATOR PEREZ
A graduate in computer science, Rosa is originally from Mexico and a proud adopted Quebecer. She is a woman with a big heart, simple and passionate about children, animals and aesthetics. Rosa doesn't get seasick, for her, Ketch is family adventure, the warmth of kitchens and the pleasure of intense work!
ETIENNE GASCON
Étienne has solid experience in business management, events and projects in the hotel, resort and restaurant sectors. Holder of a master's degree in management and a master's degree in biology, his methodical and contemplative spirit brings him back on deck every summer, as the tide rises! For Étienne, the Ketch is above all an unforgettable experience for all the visitors and artisans of this project.
